Claireville Conservation Area Management Plan Update
Toronto and Region Conservation has completed the Claireville Conservation Area Management Plan Update.
Please click here for the entire plan.
This plan for Claireville Conservation Area is a comprehensive management plan to guide future use of this conservation area and replaces the 1997 version. New policies, plans and other studies as well as current land management planning techniques were considered in the updating of the management plan.
Based on input from partners, stakeholders and the public, the following statement was developed to reflect a strategic vision of Claireville Conservation Area in the next 50 years and to provide strategic direction of the updated management plan:
Claireville Conservation Area is an oasis for wildlife and people - a healthy, diverse urban forest and one of the largest natural corridors in a major city region. It is a destination where the natural and cultural heritage resources are protected and restored through partnerships and community-based stewardship. Visitors enjoy year-round nature-based recreation and education experiences while respecting the unique environmental features.
For more information about the updated management plan,
please contact Sonia Dhir, Project Manager, Humber Watershed, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Pets are permitted at most Toronto and Region Conservation areas; however, for the safety and enjoyment of everyone, we do insist that:
- pets are kept on a leash at all times
- owners clean up after their pets
- pets are not allowed in the visitors centre
