Public Information Centre #1 for the Environmental Assessment
The Project Team would like to thank everyone who attended the PIC#1 for the EA phase of the project on Thursday January 28, 2016 at Qssis Banquet Halls.
Materials presented at the PIC#1 are available for dowload:
The Project Team would like to thank everyone who provided their comments on the PIC#1 material at the meeting and by email.
The Project is still in the early stages, and TRCA is exploring all potential options - including the "Do Nothing" and opportunities both along the top of the bluffs and the base of the bluffs. As the next step in the process, the options will be based on how well each Alternative meets the Vision and Objectives.
Once comments have been received on February 11, 2016, the Project Team will be reviewing opportunities to develop additional Alternatives, or refine existing Alternatives, as part of the next steps. The public will have an opportunity to review and provide comments on any additional Alternatives developed.
Notice of Commencement of Environmental Assessment
On December 15, 2015, the Minister of the Environment and Climate Change approved the Terms of Reference for the Scaborough Waterfront Project.
Scarborough Waterfront Project Shoreline Tour
On September 12, 2015 the Project Team hosted the Scarborough Waterfront Project Shoreline Tour, a free guided tour of the shoreline between the Guild Inn and Meadowcliffe in the Project Study Area. Participants rode in shuttle vans down to the shoreline to three stops where expert speakers on the area were stationed. The expert speakers discussed the history of the waterfront, highlights of the natural environment, geological features in the area and how these relate to the Scarborough Waterfront Project.
