Lakeview Waterfront Connection Project
Credit Valley Conservation, on behalf of the Region of Peel and with the support of the City of Mississauga and Toronto and Region Conservation, is embarking on a new project entitled Lakeview Waterfront Connection. The Lakeview Waterfront Connection Project, an element of the Inspiration Lakeview visioning process in 2010, includes the creation of a new waterfront park along the eastern Mississauga shoreline. The intended purpose of this project is to enhance and re-create natural coastal habitats, to build a natural park that encourages public access, use and exploration along the waterfront, and facilitate sustainable city building.
The Lakeview Waterfront Connection is subject to the requirements of the Ontario Environmental Assessment Act as a project that necessitates an Individual Environmental Assessment (EA). The first step of the Lakeview Waterfront Connection EA is to develop a Terms of Reference (ToR) for the project, which will guide how the EA decision-making and consultation process will be undertaken.
