Become a Volunteer at TRCA
TRCA is always looking for volunteers to assist in conserving, protecting and increasing environmental awareness. Also, TRCA hosts many tree planting and clean up events for you to participate in. Community Stewardship

Tips

Becoming educated about what it means to be sustainable. Considering the things you are doing already, and brainstorm new efforts! Get involved in green community initiatives. 

Purchasing our electricity from a renewable energy source, and reducing our use of electricity when ever possible. 

Using public transit and much as possible, but if you must drive, use a fuel efficient vehicle. 

Remembering that clean water requires processing, which uses electricity. Conserving your water use by running the taps less, installing aerators, and using low-flow toilets. 

Improving the energy efficiency of your home by reducing drafts, installing awning, and planting trees.
