Scholarship Awards

Once every two years, the Conservation Foundation grants an award of $1,500 to further the science of natural heritage management within the boundaries of the Toronto and Region Conservation's (TRCA) jurisdiction.

Since 1973, The Conservation Foundation of Greater Toronto has offered scholarships to students enrolled in conservation related studies to further the science of natural heritage management.

This year we are accepting applications for one award of $1,500 and the deadline for applications is Wednesday, March 31, 2010.

Applications will be received from students working towards post graduate degrees where the thesis work is being carried out in natural heritage management within the boundaries of TRCA's jurisdiction (shown in the guideline form attached).

The following is a list of special criteria for each application:

  1. Verification of enrollment:
The Conservation Foundation requires verification of enrollment and status. Please have the registrar's office forward this request directly to the Conservation Foundation under separate cover. DO NOT ATTACH TO THE APPLICATION.
  2. References:
Please provide two accompanying letters of reference with the application, each in a sealed envelope for authenticity purposes: one academic and one work related.
  3. Condition of Award:
The successful applicant will be required to submit an abstract from the thesis outlined in the application.
