Investigating The Living City Spaces

We've opened up a whole new set of classrooms! Through day-long field trips, explore some of the GTA's most interesting natural spaces. One of our new, seasonal programs is currently being offered at Tommy Thompson Park (TTP). Winged Migration is a full day program that will introduce your class to the fascinating world of bird migration and the challenges we face in conserving these amazing populations and the habitats they require on their annual journeys.

Winged Migration has been developed to meet the expectations of the Ontario curriculum. Special focus has been placed on the Elementary Science and Technology Life Systems Strand for grades 4, 6 and 7 and the Secondary Biology Strand for Grade 10, Academic and Applied.

These programs also support the National Healthy Living Strategy and the Province of Ontario's Active 2010 initiative by engaging students in safe, physical outdoor activities.
