TRCA and the Etobicoke-Mimico Watersheds Coalition work on a number of projects to help protect and restore these important watersheds.

What's happening in the Etobicoke-Mimico Watersheds

Our current projects in the Etobicoke Creek watershed include:

  • Arsenal Lands/Marie Curtis Park West - Park Development
  • Heart Lake Master Plan Implementation
  • Kennedy Valley Park Rehabilitation
  • Pearson Eco-Industrial Park - Partners in Project Green
  • Peel Children's Water Festival
  • Snelgrove Master Plan Implementation
  • South Etobicoke Creek Valley and Trail Rehabilitation
  • West Etobicoke Creek Regeneration Project

 

Our current projects for the Mimico Creek watershed are:

  • South Mimico Barrier Mitigation Project
  • Upper Mimico Creek Aquatic Habitat Implementation

  • Community Conservation Forests
  • Etobicoke & Mimico Creeks Watersheds Plan Update
