Duffins & Carruthers Creek Watersheds Resources
A watershed plan for Duffins Creek and Caruthers Creek was cpmpleted in August 2003. This project was a three year efort involving local and regional municipal governments, watershed residents and non-government agencies. It is an example of emerging approaches for watershed management in Ontario, reflecting a continuum of advancements in adapting ecosystem and sustainability principles.

Green Space Project:On March 23, 2001, Transport Minister David Collenette announced, that the federal government will take immediate action to further protect the federally owned portion of the Oak Ridges Moraine and areas around the Rouge Park as green space.
Following that announcement the Green Space Project was set up to work with community, environmental groups and other federal and provincial agencies.
