(TORONTO, August 17, 2010) -  The public is invited to spend the day at McVean Farm to tour, taste, participate in fun activities and meet the farmers on  Sunday, August 29. Also, new this summer, farmers from the McVean Farm will have their fresh-picked, organically grown produce available for sale on-site at the McVean Farmer's Market. The market will be held every Saturday until September and will include a variety of crops available for sale from a diverse group of farmers.

The farm, located in the north-end of Brampton, consists of 37 acres of historical agricultural Toronto and Region Conservation (TRCA) property leased to FarmStart.
