Jun 20, 2014

Media Release

(Stouffville, June 19, 2014) Summer just got a little more adventurous with the Grand Opening of Treetop Trekking Company's newest location of their Zip Line and Aerial Game Park located in the forest at Bruce's Mill Conservation Area in Stouffville. The Grand Opening is set for Saturday, June 21. The opening celebration will include special discounted 3-hour tours; a ribbon cutting by stakeholders including the Mayor of Whitchurch-Stouffville, Wayne Emmerson; food vendors; and other fun festivities.

Treetop Trekking is a well-known leader in treetop aerial game and zip line adventures in Eastern Canada, now with five locations in Ontario and five in Quebec. The Bruce's Mill Conservation Area location is the second location in partnership with Toronto and Region Conservation.  The two organizations first opened a Treetop Trekking Zip Line and Aerial Game Park at the Heart Lake Conservation Area location in Brampton in 2013 as a way to bring nature and adventure together.

At the new Stouffville location, there are six courses ranging in difficulty level from beginner to advanced. Aerial games will include things like zip lines, log bridges, cable traverses, balance logs, hammock nets and Tarzan swings, which will lead visitors from tree top to tree top.  Treetop Trekking Stouffville is located at 3291 Stouffville Rd in Whitchurch-Stouffville and is the closest zip line and aerial game park to downtown Toronto. The park will operate from March until November annually and can accommodate adventure seekers aged 9 to 99.

Treetop Trekking parks are popular with families, groups of friends, corporate groups, school groups, sports teams and anyone else looking for a fun day outdoors.  The Aerial Park that is opening June 21st is the first phase of the park. A second phase consisting of a network of tree houses and tunnels named Treewalk Village will open later this summer for kids as young as 5 years old.
