Eco-landscaping Demonstration Project Unveiled in York Region

(TORONTO, September 13, 2012)

Explore our Front Yard Makeovers on Saturday, September 22, as Toronto and Region Conservation (TRCA), in partnership with The Regional Municipality of York, the Town of Richmond Hill and private sector sponsors and partners celebrate the completion of the project at a community barbecue.

The Front Yard Makeover demonstration projects showcase eco-landscaping on two residential properties in the Lake Wilcox area of Richmond Hill. The project demonstrates environmentally-sustainable landscape designs and practice, and helps to reduce the homeowners' outdoor water use and utility bills

The Community BBQ will include booths from TRCA's Healthy Yards, York Region's Water for Tomorrow, LEAF and other landscaping-related sponsors of the Front Yard Makeover.

When: Saturday, September 22, 2012, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
