TORONTO, June 4, 2012 - Join community leaders from the public and private sectors at the 4th Annual General Meeting for Partners in Project Green on Thursday, June 7, when results from the 2011 Partners in Project Green Annual Report will be released. Partners in Project Green, will also celebrate the achievements of leading green companies in the Pearson Eco-Business Zone over the past year in areas like waste reduction, environmental reclamation, water conservation, renewable energy use, and carbon emission mitigation. Attendees will also learn about the 2012 Partners in Project Green Sustainability Awards and have the opportunity to network with business leaders in the Pearson Eco-Business Zone.


The evening will also feature a keynote address from Storm Cunningham, author of reWealth and the Restoration Economy - two important books on the economic opportunity associated with revitalizing communities through sustainability.


Storm's presentation will focus on a number of points including:

  • the rapid global rise of restorative development and the eight growth industries that renew our built and natural environments;
  • restorative development as the most cost-effective strategy for attracting and retaining both employers and employees; and,
  • three powerful new technologies for finding, designing and funding green or restorative projects
