Swing into Spring at Bathurst Glen Golf Course's New Program For Beginners

(TORONTO, April 3) - Bathurst Glen Golf Course is teeing up for the 2012 golf season with a new golf program set to make any nervous first-time golfer more comfortable and confident. The new "No Embarrassment" Golf Clinic Ladies and Men's Program developed by Henry Brunton Golf, one of the top golf coaching services in the GTA, caters specifically to those who are interested in golf but may be too intimidated to take lessons in a large group setting or can't afford to take private lessons. The new program teaches swing fundamentals and ball striking skills in a family friendly environment at an affordable price of $99 plus HST, for four weeks of one hour lessons from a PGA of Canada Professional.

"Golf is a great recreational sport that's easy to learn and fun to play," said Joe Petta, General Manager, Bathurst Glen Golf Course. "We're excited to offer this new clinic which we hope will turn more people into avid golfers and life-long learners of the sport."

The men's and women's clinics include:

  • One hour interactive clinics for adults- weekly classes scheduled
  • No equipment or experience necessary
  • 6:1 golfer/coach ratio max - Program led by Aileen Robertson PGA of Canada Professional
  • Cost of practice balls included in tuition
  • Take home Henry Brunton Golf Learning Guide included in tuition
  • Free Round of Golf - $35 value

Taking the "first swing" at golf is easy at Bathurst Glen, the par-63 family-friendly golf course is well known for its strong commitment to its environmental program and family programs. 2012 Family Golf Specials include Kids, 14 years and under, play free any day of the week after 4 pm, with every paid adult. Tee time includes two large baskets of balls per family at the driving range. Kids 14 and under also get a free small bucket of balls with a purchase of one large bucket per family. Promotion is valid from June 15 to August 31, 2012, after 4 p.m.

Bathurst Glen Golf Course

The course is a Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Certified and is located beside one of the last remaining natural corridor links between the eastern and western parts of the Oak Ridge Moraine in the Town of Richmond Hill. Toronto and Region Conservation operates the 4,400 yard golf course located at 12481 Bathurst Street in Richmond Hill and maintains the park lands on behalf of the Province of Ontario.
