TORONTO, December 13, 2011 - Partners in Project Green and Willis Energy Services are pleased to announce a new partnership that will leverage the knowledge and resources of each organization to help companies in the City of Mississauga identify and implement energy savings projects.

Willis Energy Services has been selected by Enersource to deliver selected conservation and demand management programs to support them in realizing their energy reduction targets mandated by the Ontario government.  To help reach the business community, Willis will work with Partners in Project Green to target companies within the Mississauga portion of the Pearson Eco-Business Zone to help them access a number of conservation programs, including:

  • Energy Audit Initiative - that offers incentives to companies for conducting energy assessments.
  • Equipment Replacement Incentive Initiative - provides financial incentives for replacing equipment with more energy efficient systems.
  • Building Commissioning Initiative - provides incentives for improving chilled water systems.
  • High Performance, New Construction - offers substantial financial assistance for new building and major renovation projects that exceed the electrical efficiency specified in the Ontario Building Code.

"Energy conservation and demand management programs are essential to remaining competitive in today's economy, while improving a company's triple bottom line, which is people, planet and profit," said Craig Fleming, President and CEO at Enersource.  "We look forward to working with Willis and Partners in Project Green to help area businesses develop meaningful and effective conservation programs."

"We are excited to be working with Partners in Project Green," said Parminder Sandhu, Managing Director at Willis Energy Services.  "Their goal of transforming the business community around Toronto Pearson into an internationally recognized eco-business community aligns perfectly with our goal of reducing energy consumption in the area."

Through the partnership, Partners in Project Green will connect its community of business partners to Enersource's conservation program. In addition, businesses that require assistance in completing energy audits and sourcing energy efficient technologies can be referred to Partners in Project Green's Energy Consultant Roster and Green Purchasing Alliance.

"This partnership aligns the goals of all three organizations in not only trying to improve the financial performance of the local business community, but just as importantly, in building a stronger, leaner and green regional economy," shared Brian Denney, Chief Administrative Officer for Toronto and Region Conservation.
