Partners in Project Green and Association of Energy Engineers - Southern Ontario Chapter combine efforts to assist businesses

Oct 12, 2011

Partners in Project Green and the Association of Energy Engineers - Southern Ontario Chapter (AEESOC) are pleased to announce a new partnership that leverages the knowledge and resources of each organization to help their respective memberships realize the business benefits of sustainability.

"By allowing members access to each organization's programming and leveraging the resources, knowledge and skills of every group, we can accelerate sustainability practices of our members," says Toby Lennox, Chair, Partners in Project Green Steering Committee and Vice-President of Corporate Affairs and Communications with the Greater Toronto Airports Authority.

This partnership will allow members of Partners in Project Green and AEESOC to access to each organization's programs at no extra cost, while leveraging each organization's sustainability efforts to identify new opportunities to work together to serve the needs of their memberships. The goal, ultimately, is to help companies reduce their costs, while resulting in improved economic and environmental performance for each organization's members.

"AEESOC and its members are highly committed to the effort to improve energy management practices in all sectors in Ontario. Recognizing the immense challenge that we and other like-minded professionals are trying to meet, it is always helpful and encouraging to link with organizations whose members share the same mission," explained Doug Tripp, President with AEESOC. "To the extent that AEE's certifications and professional development programs support the energy efficiency cause, we're happy to collaborate with PPG and its members."

Members of AEESOC will gain access to Partners in Project Green member programming at no-cost as part of their AEESOC membership, while Partners in Project Green and AEESOC staff will continue to work together to engage their membership on sustainability initiatives
