Partners in Project Green to hold Annual General Meeting on May 19th

TORONTO, May 16, 2010 - On Thursday, May 19th, Partners in Project Green will host its 2nd Annual General Meeting. The evening will celebrate the results Partners in Project Green and its partner companies achieved in 2010. 

Partners in Project Green, an initiative led by the Greater Toronto Airports Authority and Toronto and Region Conservation, is a growing community of businesses working together to green their bottom lines by creating an internationally-recognized eco-business zone (12,000 hectares of land on Canada's largest employment area) surrounding Pearson International Airport.

This cocktail reception will include:

  • The release of the Partners in Project Green 2010 Annual Report, along with highlights on leading green companies from the Pearson Eco-Business Zone.
  • Keynote address from Ernie Springolo, Country Head, Bayer Material Science, who will share Bayer's insights into transforming its operations to achieve sustainability.
  • The official opening of the 2011 Partners in Project Green Sustainability Awards by Debbie Baxter, Chief Sustainability Officer, Loyalty One.
  • An exciting announcement about the Green Power Challenge goal of sourcing 58,000 MWh of renewable energy for the Pearson Eco-Business Zone.
