Class EA for Black Creek Flood Management

Toronto and Region Conservation Authority, in concert with the City of Toronto define areas of risk due to creek flooding and erosion, and as part of a jurisdictional-wide program, TRCA establishes various management approaches.

Project Summary:
One of the main roles of the Toronto & Region Conservation Authority is to manage floodplains within our jurisdiction, and to identify ways to reduce flood risk wherever possible. The Black Creek Study area has been identified as a high flood risk zone, and as such, the TRCA has initiated an investigation to identify the scope of problems, along with possible solutions. The study will follow the Conservation Ontario Class Environmental Assessment (EA) process and we will be working closely with area residents, special interest groups and the City of Toronto throughout the entire study.
